Downtown pizza is a solid option for pizza lovers on the go. As you enter, be sure to quickly grab a menu since there is no large menu displayed above the cashier. The menu offers a very wide selection of entrees, including sandwiches, wraps and of course pizza. The lunch special includes two slices of cheese pizza and a drink.
The cashier and servers are primarily behind the counter but are polite, informative and attentive. The food was reasonably priced and took a few minutes to arrive. The pizza is thin crust and arrives hot so give it a minute to cool. The slices could use a little more cheese but for the price you're paying, it's understandable. The tomato sauce was more sour than sweet, which is a good thing in my opinion. Drinks include a variety of the usual canned and bottled options.
The venue is pretty small. There's the counter cashier area where you order and pay. Then there's a high top counter running along the window side with a few stools. This is definitely the kind of place you order to-go or pickup. Due to this I would not consider this place suitable for large groups who want to dine in. Quick service and good pizza make this place a fine option for lunch, it's worth checking out. -

They got here and told me it was more than what grubhub off of yelp told me,they obviously told grubhub not to come then tried to charge me another 3$$. Nope. Didn't happen. Delivery guy was cool, but crappy move on the owners part and we have been ordering for years.

The worst. Gyro showed up in a flour tortilla lol. The ground meat on pizza taste like dog food and sadly this place has hit rock bottom since under new mgmnt last year or so. Papas or Dominoes would make you happier. Sorry DTP. You suck now!!

That's it, I've had it. I'm done giving this place the benefit of the doubt. I dont ever really rate or review restaurants, but I have to do this one. My family and I have been ordering food from this place since I was probably 6 or 7 years old. (I am 23 years old now) That being said, I have a long history with Downtown. Good food has been served out of this establishment for years! Let's not get this misconstrued. I wouldn't have been a loyal customer for as long as I have been if they weren't worth it. I will acknowledge it is very convenient that they're open till 4 a.m. However, they are losing that edge to the world of ever expanding choice of options that is food takeout/delivery. The food quality as of the past year that I can recall (I order on a decently regularly basis) has dwindled quite noticeably. Also, I just spent an hour and 15 minutes waiting for a pizza to be delivered to me. I ordered a chicken philly pizza though grubhub. After waiting an hour an 15 minutes, I called grubhub support (which is amazing btw) and they helped me cancel the or order. I was then called by downtown saying, " I see that you just canceled, but the pizza is out the door." " Are you sure you dont want it?" It had been an hour and 15 minutes at this point people!! I politely declined the offer. The woman on the phone did apologize for the wait after trying to recover the sale, so I guess at least there's that. Not even three minutes later, I was called by the driver, Justin who was apparently on the way. "The pizza is still warm, you sure you dont want it?" Again, I politely declined. After waiting a pathetic 1 hour and 15 minutes for a pie, and being essentially solicited for a "pizza that's still hot" twice after I had canceled, I knew I had to give my honest input about this restaurant. I've had plenty of better experiences delivery wise in the past, for the record. As far as the quality of food goes, (I've tried a multitude of items they offer.. again, I've been eating from here for about 18 years) they surely are on decline, sad to say. I have been unsatisfied with my last five orders. Yes, I know I should've given up by now, but I have been a regular for almost as long as I've been on this earth which is crazy to think about.
Thanks to everyone at Downtown who has provided me good food consistently in the past. They have sadly lost their touch.
